Personal projects and exhibition works

Vloed
The rhythmic pattern of the sea serves as a constant reminder that everything is temporary yet eventually comes back. Like the shells carried ashore, each wave leaves behind traces, echoing the idea that something beautiful can emerge from the cycle of return. On this day, that enduring rhythm reflected the beginning of a new love.
Echoes
This piece was selected for the exhibition '76x32x32_200x85x360' organized by VLAK as part of Art Week Rotterdam (2025). Blending memory and emotion, this multiple-exposure photograph of the Landmannalaugar mountains captures the fleeting beauty I encountered, but could never fully recreate. The work examines our interaction with nature in the digital age, questioning whether the essence of being in nature can truly be reduced to a clear and consumable digital artifact.
Exploration of the Dutch landscape
Through this series, I delve into the Dutch landscape—once so familiar, yet gradually overlooked with the passage of time. Photography allows me to reconnect with these 'mundane' environments, offering a renewed lens through which I can observe, appreciate, and document their subtle beauty. With this work, I aim not only to share my rediscovery but also to inspire others to explore and value the nature within their own surroundings. By drawing attention to the charm of local landscapes, I hope to encourage a deeper connection with the environment that shapes us all
Quiet Green
This photo series examines the relationship between the city and nature. Through these seven images, I focus on unnoticed plants and weeds that quietly thrive in the cracks of the urban landscape. These modest forms of greenery are often dismissed, yet they play a vital role in supporting biodiversity and providing shelter for insects.
Vertakkingen: a series about growth and connection
Through the branching forms of nature, this series reflects the complex bond with my parents. Despite our differing perspectives on sociological and ecological issues, an unbreakable connection endures, much like the intertwined patterns of natural branching. These processes symbolize growth and often remind me that divergence and unity are deeply intertwined, essential to both nature and human relationships.
